Steve Jobs Death: Article Marketing Campaign Or Writing Mistake

Steve Jobs Well Alive And Full On Ideas!
By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing Tips.

Even Big Companies Like Bloomberg Use Remarkable Headlines Or Article Titles To Generate Buzz... But, A "Steve Jobs Death" Type Of Headline Can Fire Back. Internet Marketing Campaign or Mistake, You Decide!

First you need to know that Mr. Apple I mean, Mr. Steve Jobs is alive and healthy, and the "Steve Jobs Death" headline wasn't a sick joke, or at least that's what the people from Bloomberg said, they also told the press that the article wasn't an article marketing campaign to increase web traffic or anything like that, they said that the whole thing was a big printing or typing mistake... I don't know about that!

The true is that many content sites, like newspapers, news portals, and blogs use bizarre or limit pushing headlines or titles copy writing strategies to create instant buzz for their articles or posts. And it works.

Here is more information about the article:
"Steve Jobs death has been greatly exaggerated by ZDNet's Jason D. O'Grady -- News outlet Bloomberg gave Apple fans and investors a huge scare late yesterday when it accidentally published an incomplete version of Steve Jobs obituary over its wire service. Although the service quickly retracted the release, it’s an eerily-fascinating read complete with XXXX marks for the cause and date of his death. What’s even more interesting is Blolomberg’s [...]"

The Problem With This Article Strategy.

When you use this headline writing strategy you need to know that it can back fire, just like it happen to Bloomberg and instead of giving you visitors or readers that can be turn into leads or sales, you will turn those visitors into enemies and they will pass on the bad viral message about you, your site, and your company. Another problem is that is if you use it wrong the traffic that you will get will be completely off target, which will turn into low web conversions and ROI (return on investment).

How good an article marketing campaign can be if it doesn't get high responses? Responses and high conversions is what your Internet marketing plan it should be about, your responses can represent increasing targeted traffic, generating leads, getting higher credibility levels to increase sales, and target branding exposure. Article can indeed do all this when is use right.

Don't Through This Strategy In The Trash Just Yet!

Like I mention before, using headlines that are bizarre or push limits work very good when you add your targeted keywords or message with it, just like I did on this post. Why do this, first to avoid what happen to Bloomberg's with their "Steve Job Death" title, and second to make your article title do the reader prospecting for you. What I mean is that you need to do some sales qualification right on the title so, you get your target audience to read the information, this will give buzz and better web conversions.

If you use Google Knol, article directories, or social networks, it doesn't matter where you post your content just be careful how you use it.

In Conclusion: When using this article marketing strategy make sure you don't experiment, instead have a set campaign goal and plan accordingly.

Don't you think that this marketing technique can be a little sneaky, and get people really upset. i know that the way you do it is better because readers can see whats coming before clicking... But, for those that can't understand the strategy I personally recommend to stay away from it, or try it to see if you can set it up like Luis explains, if not, stay far from it.

Article Marketing remains one of the best ways to draw your target market to your website and convince them that you are the best answer to their needs.

Article Marketing can increase your website exposure by having your content reproduced around the Internet. Your are rewarded with one-way incoming links from the resource box, you don’t have to reciprocate as you would with link exchanges, which in theory should reward you with better search engine rankings.
