Do You Even Have One?
This is one of the most important part of any business marketing campaign, specially if you want to brand their minds... This little message can increase sales, get you more opt-in subscribers, and keep you in the mind of your prospects or customers that will trigger every time they thing about your kind of services or products.
Come on even Shakira
have one, and is what separate her from the rest of female singers...
Better known as USP or Unique Selling Proposition. Let tell you a little story, this 2 college friends started a pizza business. But they didn't have no USP, after a loosing a lot of money and almost closing the shop. One of the partners decide to quit, and the one left behind came out with a special marketing message that he put on all advertising, and delivery packages... The message was something like:
"Get Your Fresh and Warm Pizza Deliver In 30 Minutes or Less!".
After he did this, his automatically he so a massive increase in sales and revenue. And now his pizza shop it's well know all over America and the world, his USP work so good that know every time someone says Pizza, you said Dominos!
Your USP or Unique Selling Proposition is what's going to tell your target market what it's that you offer differently than the rest, what make your business UNIQUE!
Just pay a little attention to Shakira's Unique Selling Message, she is the only female singer that shake the hips the way she does, and she's the only female singer that makes a little different tone on her voice when she sings. Only Shakira... Nobody else!
Another example can be Mr. Mike Filsaime the creator of one of the best viral marketing packages in ages "The Butterfly Marketing" and , he's USP is "When Simple People Meets Great Marketing".
Here is another USP example from M&M's! |
If you don't have a unique message that position your company and products on your market right, I'll recommend you that you get one ASAP, and you will see the results. Remember to test, and test just like any other marketing campaign. Also I recommend you to do a keyword research to identified what phrases your target market are using to find products or services like yours.
