I Hate Pop Ups or Hover Ads But They Work

By Luis Galarza - Affiliate Marketing Secret Training Guide Blog

Love Them or Hate Them Pop Ups Worked Before, They Still Work Right Now, And Maybe Always Work!

Pop ups are here to stay and it doesn't matter if you love 'em or hate 'em...

...because my dear Internet marketing friends they work. The adult industry marketing already gave us the lesson that well plan pop up and pop under promotions work excellent to find new revenue streams for any web site.

I always said that if you want to know what works and what doesn't follow the industries with the higher rate of competitors and them see what are they doing to increase web traffic, sales conversions, list building lead responses, and what are they doing to monetize that traffic.

And most important how they do it!

Follow tough markets like:

- The Adult Marketing Industry (specially this one)
- The Music Industry
- The Movies and Home Video Industry
- The Cell Phone Industry
- The Computer Industry
- The Travel Industry
- And off course The Internet Marketing Industry

Just to mention a few...

As you may know the adult marketing industry was one of the first to implement pop-ups and pop unders promotion strategies to co-promote other services, web sites, or affiliate programs or joint venture partners. What you though that those 10 or 15 pop ups that exploded on your computer screen were just to mess with you...

... well, that wasn't the purpose of this online marketing web conversion tactic. Just I said conversion tactic, because adult marketers were tracking and testing every single strategy until they found the winner tactic.... which in the case of pop ups, they knew that 1, 2 or even 5 pop ups didn't work, but 15 pop ups or pop unders were the most sales pulling tactic.

It worked simple... they knew that for every visitor that was expose to as many as 15 pop ups, one in 100 will make a purchase or sign-up for one of their membership sites.

We all know that some web surfers ignore them, and I am one of those (Depending on the pop up). I think I am immune to some of those pop ups that have no real value to me. Well, it guess happens when you surf the net for too long.

Did you know that top Internet marketers like Derek Gehl successfully use pop-ups as a tool for list building and sales. But they don't use those old-school pop-ups that everyone hate. They DHTML unblockable pop-ups. Yeap, these are those that can't be stop by pop-up blockers softwares. This are also call "Hoover Ads".

Here is what TimingTheBeast says about Pop Ups Hover Ads:
"The great thing about hover ads is that they are so much more versatile and elegant than old style popups. You can create hover ads that just appear on the screen, slide up or down the screen, across it - all sorts of combinations and styles. It's a method of delivering advertising with a little more personality and is a highly effective marketing tool.
What can you use hover ads for?

* Embed subscription forms (really boosts subscriptions)
* Announcing special offers
* Relaying company news or system messages
* Drawing attention to new products and services
* Displaying testimonials
* Surveying your visitors and customers.

Can hover ads be blocked?

As the code for a hover ad is effectively a part of the page, most pop up killers can't touch them. The only situation where an ad might be blocked is if the visitor has JavaScript disabled in their browser. This scenario is fairly uncommon as so many sites utilize JavaScript for a range of functionality and JavaScript is switched on by default in most browsers.

But, just because they can't be blocked, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't be careful as to the type and style of hover ads you use. Annoyed visitors don't make for great potential customers, so exercise discretion when creating your ad."

So I show them a video of myself getting paid $500 for taking paid surveys to set the record straight.
