Social Media Poll: How Much Time Small Businesses Spent On It

Poll results show that social media media still one the top method use by current online business owners and entrepreneurs, but also shows that is one of the most misunderstood mediums, and for that reason many small companies still avoiding it.

Here is the poll answers, where AmericaExpress ask small business owners "How much time per the spent on social media on 2010?":

1. 15% said that they haven't spent any time on it.

2. 38% said they spent 1 hour a day socializing and promoting their brand on networks.

3. 31% said they spent around 2 hours a day.

4. 15% said they spent more than 2 hours per day using web 2.0 community tools.


Social media is not the best game in town, but is a very powerful tool to create brand awareness and build pre-sell customer relationship. So, if you looking to build a long term business you should use it in your marketing mix. just find the right approach and network for your Internet venture.
